Warrant

At 7:52 a.m. on May 22 an officer was dispatched to the 7500 block of Cass Avenue for an accident in the parking lot. Manuel Ruiz Torres, 44, of Chicago was arrested on a failure to appear warrant from the Will County Sheriff's Office.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

At 2:19 p.m. on May 22 an officer was dispatched to the 7400 block of Brookdale Drive for a burglary from motor vehicle. It was later determined a criminal damage to vehicle by unknown offender(s) had occurred. Vehicle owner was notified. The cost of the shattered car window is unknown at this time and unknown how window was broken.

At 6:53 p.m. on May 24 an officer was dispatched to the Darien Police Department for a criminal damage to property later relocated to 7200 block Summit Road. Victim advised sometime between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. unknown offender(s) damaged a keypad for the garage. The approximate damage was $40 no other information at this time.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

At 6 p.m. on May 22 an officer was dispatched to an accident in the 8200 block of Lemont Road. Sarah Rexius, 34, of Schaumburg was arrested on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving at a slow speed which obstructs traffic.

At 11:51 p.m. on May 22 an officer was dispatched to the 7700 block of Wildwood Court for a hit and run accident. Aaron Ebenezer, 20, of the 7700 block of Wildwood Court was arrested for two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, consumption of alcohol by a minor and improper
lane usage.

At 3:19 a.m. on May 17 an officer on patrol northbound Cass Avenue approaching Concord Place
observed the vehicle cross over the center line. Jose Garza, 23, of 1343 Alexander Drive,
Bolingbrook was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage
and improper parking on roadway.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

At 9:24 a.m. on May 23 an officer was dispatched to Darien Police Department for a theft report.
Victim advised on May 22 at 2:00 p.m. belongings including car keys later recovered were stolen from an unlocked locker at XSport Gym, 7511 Lemont Road. Unknown offender(s) then used keys to remove a laptop and $150 in currency from victim’s vehicle. The approximate loss was $1,150 no other information at this time.

Speeding

At 2:46 a.m. on May 24 an officer on patrol in the 1300 block of 75th Street observed a speeding auto traveling over 100 mph per radar. Stephen Henry, 42, of Naperville was arrested for speeding.

Retail Theft

At 12:51 p.m. on May 26 an officer was dispatched to Jewel, 7335 Cass Avenue for a follow up to a
theft that occurred at 12:27 p.m. Store video shows a male black offender exit the store through the entrance with a cart full of unpaid items. The approximate loss was $132.68 no other information at this time.

Motor Vehicle Theft

At 7 a.m. on May 28 a officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Timber Lane for a motor vehicle
theft. An unknown offender(s) gained entry to the garage and stole a 2017 Jaguar between May 27 at 10 p.m. to May 28 at 6 a.m.
