Safety Village of Darien Summer Sessions

To All Darien Residents, & Surrounding Communities, 😊

I hope that you are all doing well, and are staying safe, during these difficult times with Covid.

As many of you already know, my family founded, and continues to run Safety Village of Darien, after tragically losing my brother, Mark, in a pedestrian / vehicle accident in 1987. Our program has been designed to teach many areas of safety, geared towards younger children, usually around 5 to 7 years of age, as well as 8 to 10-year-olds. We have also taught many safety workshops for parents, teens, and for the community as well.

Of course, our program would not be able to successfully run without incredibly supportive teachers (esp Beth Monaco & Donna Adams), parents, teens, SV board members, District 61, the Darien Woodridge Fire Dept, the Darien Police Dept, and many other volunteers, who volunteer their time to help run and teach our program, and of course, along with our family and friends, who are also always there for us no matter what. There are truly no words to describe how much we appreciate everything that you all do for us, and for our program. We love you all, from the bottom of our hearts. You all truly make a difference in the lives of our children that you touch. 💝

The purpose of this post is to give you all, a “heads up”, re: our summer schedule for this year. We are truly excited to be able to open up classes again! The following, highlights our summer session schedule...

*June 13th - June 17th / 2 Sessions per Day
9:30am-12pm / 1pm-3:30pm
5-7 year old children

*June 20th - June 24th / 2 Sessions per Day
9:30am-12pm / 1pm-3:30pm
5-7 year old children

*June 27th - July 1st / 2 Sessions per Day
(Only if enrollment is sufficient)**
9:30am-12pm / 1pm - 3:30pm
5-7 year old children

*July 11th - July 15th / 2 Sessions per Day
9:30am-12pm / 1pm-3:30pm
(AM class is for 5-7 year old children &
PM class is for 8-10 year children)

**If there is an interest, and enrollment is sufficient for classes, during the week of June 27th - July 1st, we will give everyone a “heads up”, that we will be hosting that week of classes as well.
