Secrecy Surrounds Investigation In Darien Neighborhood

DARIEN, IL – Little information is known about the federal investigation involving a house in the 900 block of Windmere Court in Darien.

Darien police were on hand early Tuesday morning, along with federal agents in unmarked vehicles.

The local police referred questions to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

On Wednesday, James Covington, a spokesman with Homeland Security, said the special agent in charge of the investigation told him that the department cannot comment now because of the "ongoing nature of the investigation."

For more information, he said the U.S. Attorney's Office should be contacted. As a policy, that office does not comment on ongoing investigations.
