Semi-Trucks are Coming to Darien and Waterfall Glen!

Voice your opposition at the Darien Municiple Services Committee meeting on August 27 at 6:30 PM.

On July 18, 2018, the Darien Planning and Zoning Commission passed a variance allowing Sterling Bay to build a warehouse with 31 trucking docks on Frontage Road and Cass Avenue adjacent to Waterfall Glen. If only 8 semi-trucks per day come to each of the 31 docks, then over 90,000 semi-trucks will invade Darien, Willowbrook, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Burr Ridge and other nearby towns with thoroughfares! The Commission passed the variance without doing any research on the increase this will have on hazardous-to-health noise and air pollution, traffic congestion, accidents and crime.

Fellow neighbors, your help is needed to stop this from happening and keep the serene grounds of Waterfall Glen, the Carmelite Campus and Our Lady of Mount Carmel peaceful and pristine. Share this post with your friends and neighbors. Then voice your opposition at the next meeting of Darien Municipal Services Committee on August 27 at 6:30. Show up and speak up. Without your help Darien and its surrounding towns will soon become noisy and polluted places to live.
