Shoplifting, Speeding 96 MPH: Darien Cops

Two Willowbrook women were cited on retail theft charges, report says.

DARIEN, IL — In the last few days, Darien police have charged people with shoplifting, speeding more than double the limit and driving with suspended licenses. Here is information from the reports:

  • Ania Kyles, 25, and Aliyah Mister, 22, both of Willowbrook, were cited about 5 p.m. Sept. 3 on charges of retail theft. Officers were dispatched because the two women were seen under-scanning items in the self-checkout at Walmart, 2189 75th St. They were released and set to be given a date to appear in court.
  • Edward Hernandez, 27, of Romeoville, was cited about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 2 on Oldfield Road on charges of no valid driver's license and speeding. He was stopped on Oldfield at Meyers Woods Park. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • George Jones, 52, of Darien, was cited about 12:30 p.m. Sept. 3 at Oldfield and Robert roads on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. He was stopped speeding on Oldfield. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Antwan Fabre, 30, of Woodridge, was cited about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 4 on charges of driving with a suspended license and disobeying a traffic control device. He was stopped after an officer saw him run a red light at Lemont Road and 83rd Street. He was released and set to be given a date to appear in court.
  • Ion Rozlovan, 24, of Long Beach, Calif., was cited about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 8600 block of Lemont Road on a charge of speeding 96 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
