Speeding Drunken Driver, Theft: Darien Cops
A man was arrested on a charge of DUI after he was seen speeding, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
DUI
- Robert Jones, 23, of Crest Hill, was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday near Cass Avenue and Plainfield Road on charges of DUI, speeding, improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic signal and transportation of open alcohol by a driver. According to a police report, Jones was speeding 58 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Converter theft

- A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked in the lot in the 8100 block of Lemont Road. It happened between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. April 13. The loss was estimated at $200.
Driving violations
- Jose Sandoval, 29, of Bolingbrook, was cited about 11 p.m. April 12 at Lemont Road and 75th Street on charges of driving with a revoked license and disobeying a traffic signal. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Starr Banks, 30, of Riverdale, was cited at 2 p.m. April 13 on 75th Street at Cass Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle with a suspended registration for noninsurance and expired registration. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
