No one is charged in the incident that took place near 71st and Cass.

DARIEN, IL — A standoff involving police took place Sunday in the area of Cass Avenue and 71st Street, but officials are saying little about what happened. The situation happened in the unincorporated area just outside Darien's city limits and near Downers Grove.

Police were on hand at a house in the area of that intersection from 4 to 8 p.m. and the situation was resolved peacefully without any charges, said Justin Kmitch, a spokesman with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. A multi-agency SWAT team was called, he said.

In an interview, Kmitch said the investigation in the incident continues, adding the agency was not releasing details about it.
