Stolen Car, Equipment: Darien Cops
Construction equipment valued at more than $60,000 was reported stolen.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
Stolen construction equipment
- A trailer and Takeuchi mini-excavator were stolen between 11:30 a.m. Sept. 22 and 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Police did not give a location. The total loss was estimated at $62,463.

- An officer saw an improperly parked Ford Explorer about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 19 in the 800 block of 69th Street. The officer checked the car's registration and discovered it was reported stolen in Gary, Indiana. The vehicle was towed and processed.
Disturbance
- Police responded to a disturbance about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 21 in the 7900 block of Cass Avenue. A 27-year-old Evanston man was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of obstructing identification. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
DUI

- A 69-year-old Downers Grove woman was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 near Lyman Avenue and 75th Street on charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and having no car insurance. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
