Stolen Car Found, DUIs: Darien Police Reports

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

August 1

• Salina Mendoza, 37, of Chicago, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. in the 7500 block of Cass for DUI-drugs and endangering the life or health of a child. Mendoza was processed and released with a court date of Sept. 4 at DuPage County Judicial Center.

August 2

• Sebastian Terrell, 20, of Burr Ridge, was arrested at 12:29 a.m. at 71st Street and Cass for driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without license plate registration light. Terrell was processed and released with a court date of Aug. 30 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.

August 3

• Jennifer Manor, 30, of Chicago, was arrested at 9:28 a.m. at Cass and I-55 for driving while license suspended and speeding. Manor was processed and released with a court date of Sept. 20 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.
• A stolen corvette with stolen plates was found in a parking lot in the 2100 block of 75th Street at 7:31 p.m. Toby Balfante was turned over to Woodridge Police for charges.

August 4

• John Stopper, 53, of the 1500 block of 71st Street, was arrested at 2:49 p.m. at 71st and Emerson Drive for two counts of DUI-alcohol, disobeying stop sign, speeding (48 mph in a 25 mph zone), open alcohol, and fleeing and eluding. Stopper was processed and released with a court date of Sept. 11 at DuPage County Judicial Center.

August 5

• Allen Bates, 20, of Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:44 a.m. at Plainfield and Fairmount Avenue for no valid driver's license. Bates was processed and released with a court date of Oct. 11 at Downers Grove Traffic Court.
• Rafael Pacheco, 19, of Norridge, was arrested at 4:41 a.m. in the 8200 block of Cass for two counts of DUI-alcohol, failure to signal turn and improper parking on the roadway. Pacheco was processed and released with a court date of Sept. 4 at DuPage County Judicial Center.

August 8

• Erick Aguilera, 19, of the 7900 block of Knottingham Circle, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. at Manning and Plainfield roads for DUI-drugs and improper parking on roadway. Aguilera was processed and released with a court date of Sept. 18 at DuPage County Judicial Center.
