Stolen Car, House Burglary: Darien Cops
A car valued at $45,700 was stolen from a driveway in a Darien neighborhood, police say.

DARIEN, IL — In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving a stolen car, a house burglary, driving violations and a warrant. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Stolen car
- An SUV parked in a driveway in the 8500 block of Thistlewood Court was stolen between 11 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. The loss was estimated at $45,700. The car was unlocked and the keys were inside.
Burglary

- A house in the 2300 block of Carlow Drive was burglarized last week. It was reported about 2 p.m. Sept. 14. Neighbors said suspects broke the door frame and that jewelry was in the driveway.
Driving violations
- Tyler Wright, 23, of Bolingbrook, was cited Sept. 14 in the 800 block of 75th St. on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving with expired plates and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Keaira Bradley, 29, of Matteson, was cited about 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 7900 block of Lemont Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. He was speeding 55 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Jael Burgos, 18, of Chicago, was cited about 3 a.m. Friday near Lemont Road and 87th Street on charges of no valid driver's license and unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Carl Larson, 56, of New Lenox, was cited at 4 p.m. Friday on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while using a cellphone. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Paul Castelbuno, 20, of Westchester, was cited about 7:30 p.m. Friday on Cass Avenue near 79th Street on charges of driving with a suspended license and excessive noise. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Warrant

- Marcel Caradine, 43, town unavailable, was cited about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Speedway, 7502 Cass Ave., on a Will County warrant. Police said he was seen drinking a beer after getting out of his car. He was taken into the custody of the Will County Sheriff's Office.
From the Westmont police blotter:
- Spiro Papageorge, 70, of Darien, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Sept. 16 in the 10 block of West Ogden Avenue on charges of aggravated DUI, improper lighting, improper lane usage and driving with a suspended license. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
