Storm Sewer Reconstruction Starts In Darien
Darien will begin storm sewer construction on Richmond from June 19 to June 29, with patching by July 5.

DARIEN, IL — Darien will begin storm sewer construction on Richmond from June 19 to June 29, with patching by July 5. The construction will include the installation of inlets and pipe along the curb, according to the city.
During construction, the city said traffic will be maintained at all times, but it may be delayed. At times, construction traffic may need to temporarily block driveways. According to the city newsletter, vehicles do not need to be relocated from driveways, during any portion of the construction. The construction crews will assist guiding from the driveway if they are simultaneously paving through the frontage of a residence.
According to the city newsletter, the Darien Police Department and Fire Protection Districts have been notified of these construction activities. Their services or access to the neighborhood will not be compromised. Mail delivery, garbage and recycle pick-up will continue as scheduled throughout the construction period.
