String Of Car Burglaries In Darien: Cops
The break-ins of unlocked vehicles were within blocks of each other, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Several car burglaries occurred early Sunday morning within blocks of each other in Darien, police said. Here is information from the reports:
An unlocked car in a driveway in the 2200 block of Donegal Drive was burglarized early Sunday morning. A total of $6 in change was stolen.
Two unlocked cars in the 8900 block of Kilkenny Drive were burglarized between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. Sunday. Nothing was stolen.

About 2:30 p.m. Sunday, an officer was canvassing the Tara Hill subdivision for any victims of car burglaries. A resident showed the officer video of three men at 3:55 a.m. removing a blue tooth speaker from the glove box of an unlocked car parked in a driveway. The loss was estimated at $150.
Police said three men who stole a car in Kenosha, Wisconsin, left the same vehicle on Tara Hill Road near where a car burglary took place in the 8900 block of the same street. Officers found video of the three men breaking into four cars, police said.

DUI
- Ralph Wascher, 60, of Westmont, was arrested about 1 a.m. Sunday on Cass Avenue on a Clarendon Hills warrant and charges of DUI, speeding and no insurance. He was speeding 60 mph in a 40 mph zone. He was taken to the Clarendon Hills police station.
Retail theft
- Jalen Hernandez, 23, of Chicago Heights, was cited about 9 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 2189 75th St., on a charge of retail theft. He left in a small white hatchback. Officers found Hernandez and stopped his car. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Driving violations
- Temprance Lewis, 35, of Gary, Indiana, was cited about 3 a.m. Thursday in the 8200 block of Cass Avenue on a Glenwood warrant and charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. She was speeding 57 mph in a 40 mph zone. Glenwood police took her into custody.
- Antivia Gray, 20, of Aurora, was cited about 12:30 p.m. Friday on 75th Street near Plainfield Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and suspended registration. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Brian Williams, 35, of Downers Grove, was cited about midnight Saturday in the 7400 block of Cass Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and an improper turn at an intersection. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
