Suspicious Person, DUI: Darien Police

Resident sees person dressed in black in driveway after garage door closed, police say.

DARIEN, IL — Darien police released the latest blotter, which included reports of a suspicious person and a DUI. Here is the information from the reports:

  • Police were called Feb. 26 to a house in the 7900 block of Hedgewood Drive because of a suspicious incident. A resident was alerted to the sound of the garage door closing and saw a person dressed in black standing on the driveway, then walking toward an SUV. Nothing appeared to be missing. The incident happened about 2 a.m. It was reported at 6 p.m.
  • Tanisha Young, 20, of Willowbrook, was arrested shortly after noon Feb. 28 on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper window tint. An officer ran her plate, which showed the car's registration was suspended for no insurance. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Michael Thomas, 39, of Oak Park, was arrested shortly before 10 a.m. Feb. 28 in the 7900 block of Cass Avenue on charges of driving with a revoked license, speeding and transportation of open alcohol by a driver. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Andrea Dire, 36, of Darien, was arrested about 2 a.m. Feb. 29 in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue on charges of DUI and speeding. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Jocelyn Torres, 22, of Stickney, was arrested shortly before 1 a.m. March 1 on charges of no valid driver's license and improper lighting. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Daniel Stapleton, 24, of Oswego, was arrested about 2 a.m. March 1 on Cass Avenue on charges of speeding 35 mph over the speed limit, possession of alcohol by a driver and marijuana use by a driver. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • David Sopcic, 19, of Woodridge, was arrested shortly after 1:30 a.m. March 1 on 75th Street near Adams Street on charges of driving with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Barry Darling, 44, of Willowbrook, was arrested about 1 a.m. March 2 in the 8200 block of Cass Avenue on charges of driving with a revoked license and failure to dim headlights. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Rosaro Jackson, 27, of Chicago, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. March 3 at Fairview Avenue and Gigi Lane on charges of no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of marijuana by a driver and failure to signal. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
