Teen Arrested Twice In One Day For Retail Theft: Darien Reports

A teenager and a juvenile were both arrested twice in one day for retail theft on Sept. 1, according to police.

DARIEN, IL — A teenager and a juvenile were both arrested twice in one day for retail theft on Sept. 1, according to Darien Police reports. The first retail theft took place at Jewel, 7335 Cass Ave., at 4:59 p.m. Michael Rezek, 18, of the 2800 block of 87th Street, and a juvenile were seen removing liquor and exiting the store, according to police reports.

Rezek and the juvenile were both arrested for retail theft and told court dates would be mailed to them.

Then, at 7:30 p.m., police were dispatched to a retail theft in progress at Walmart, 2189 75th St. Rezek and the juvenile were seen removing clothing items, according to police reports. Rezek was arrested for retail theft, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of alcohol by a minor. He was processed and
given a court date of Oct. 23 at DuPage County Judicial Center.

According to police reports, the juvenile offender was arrested for retail theft and possession of alcohol by a minor. They were then processed and transported to Kane County Juvenile Detention Center.
