Teen Struck By BNSF Train In Hinsdale

Police say 17-year-old girl is in critical condition at Loyola University Medical Center.

Hinsdale Police reported that a 17-year-old girl was struck by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad train Saturday evening.

At approximately 7:03 p.m., Hinsdale police and fire departments were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian hit by a train near the Garfield Crossing of the BNSF railroad.

Police found the teen and immediately transported her to Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. She was subsequently transferred to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

The teen is currently at Loyola where she is listed in critical condition.

This incident is currently under investigation by the Hinsdale Police Department.
