Theft of Services, No Valid License: Darien Blotter

Darien Police reports, May 1-3.

The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

No Valid Driver's License

  • At 1:32 a.m. May 2, Kodja Nake, 29 Westmont, was arrested following a traffic stop at 75th Street and Fairmount for no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage. Nake will appear in Downers Grove Traffic Court on June 1.

  • At 5:15 p.m. May 2, Bernard Niedzielski, 36, Chicago, was arrested in the 10200 block of Lemont Road for theft, after he refused to pay for tow services.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

  • At 5:45 p.m. May 2, a subject in a black BMW fired pellets at the victim's vehicle while at 72nd Street and Western Avenue. The vehicle was dented and passenger window was broken, the approximate cost to

Driving While License Suspended/Revoked

  • At 12:23 a.m. May 3, Terrance Banks, 18, Markham, was arrested in the 7300 block of Cass Avenue for driving while license suspended and no front registration plate.
  • At 12:43 a.m. May 3, Hykeem Tolfree, 27, Fort Wayne, Indiana, was arrested for driving while license revoked and disobeying a traffic control device after he was observed going through a traffic control device at 75th Street and Clarendon Hills Road. Tolfree will appear in Downers Grove Traffic Court on June 1.

Criminal Damage to Property

  • An unknown subject(s) drove through the baseball field at 925 67th St. sometime between 4 p.m. May 2 and 7 a.m. May 3. The approximate value of damage is $250.
