Trio Break Into Darien Store: Cops

In other reports, officers arrested two people on DUI charges.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Burglary

  • The Darien Pantry, 737 Plainfield Road, was burglarized about 4 a.m. Sunday. Video showed three suspects in dark clothing breaking the brick wall to enter. When the alarm went off, the suspects left.

  • Blagoja Smilevski, 37, of Willowbrook, was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Plainfield Road on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, failure to signal when required and disobeying a traffic control signal. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Lizette Vargas, 27, of Westmont, was arrested about 1 a.m. Sunday in the 7300 block of Cass Avenue on charges of DUI, transportation of alcohol by a driver and improper lane usage. She was released and given a date to appear in court.

Warrant

  • Jennifer Garcia, 45, of Seviervile, Tennessee, was arrested about 3 a.m. Monday at Route 83 and Midway Drive on a Washington County, Arkansas, warrant charging failure to appear in court. She was charged with obstructing identification and not wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail because of a felony charge.
