Trump Sign Stolen, Speeding 103 MPH: Darien Cops

Suspect is seen stealing Trump sign from a yard.

DARIEN, IL — In the last few days, Darien police responded to a number of situations, including the theft of a Donald Trump sign and two women going 103 mph. Here is information from the latest police reports:

  • A sign for President Donald Trump's campaign was stolen Oct. 30 in the 7900 block of Adams Street. The victim saw a man remove the sign from the yard. The suspect was last seen on a blue bicycle heading toward Bailey Road.
  • An officer saw two cars speeding about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 8400 block of Cass Avenue. The officer's radar confirmed the drivers were going 103 mph. The drivers, Dominque Neloms, 28, and Olivia Radakovich, 25, both of Joliet, were cited on charges of speeding more than 35 mph over the limit. They were released and given dates to appear in court.
  • Deonte Craig, 22, of Chicago, was cited at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 26 on a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver. Officers were dispatched to Harvest Place and Meadow Lane for a silver car with rear-end damage parked in the roadway. Officers smelled a strong odor of burnt marijuana from the car, with Craig behind the wheel. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Rachel Cessna, 33, of Darien, was arrested Oct. 27 on a DuPage County warrant on a charge of failing to appear in court. She turned herself in. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Amber O'Neal, 24, of Darien, was arrested on two DuPage County traffic warrants on charges of failing to appear in court. She was also cited on charges of driving with a suspended license and disobeying a stop sign. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Brian Garcia-Gonzales, 21, of Westmont, was cited at 8 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic device. He was stopped after an officer saw him watching a video on a cellphone attached to his windshield while driving in the 800 block of Plainfield Road. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Tiara Stover, 20, of Joliet, was cited about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 7100 block of Cass Avenue on charges of no valid driver's license and speeding 15 to 20 mph over the limit. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
