Upcoming Programs at Indian Prairie Library

New Zoom programs for everyone.

Art appreciation, English practice, and learning about the justice system are just a few of the upcoming virtual programs at Indian Prairie Public Library.

Monday, Nov. 16, 4:30 p.m.

Mr. Jack teaches grades 2-5 how to make tiny treats for the season.

Mock Trial for Teens

Fridays, Nov. 13 & 20, 7 p.m.

Teens are randomly assigned a role, and then learn about the justice system as they take part in a mock trial via Zoom.

For adults:

ESL Conversation Group

Wednesdays, Dec. 2-16, 7 p.m.

A Literacy DuPage volunteer guides students to practice English pronunciation and conversation skills during these classes.

The Art of Norman Rockwell

Tuesday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m.

Join art historian Jeff Mishur to take a closer look at Norman Rockwell’s life, achievements, and importance in American history.

These Zoom author visits are part of our Write-On! competitions and are generously sponsored by the Gift of Carl Foundation.

An Evening with Renee Watson and Ellen Hagan

Thursday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m.

Their book, Watch Us Rise, encourages young people to use their voices to make a difference. Winners of the Write-On! competition are announced during the program.

An Evening with Leah Henderson

Thursday, Nov. 19, 7 p.m.

Leah is the author The Magic in Changing Your Stars, a time-travel adventure with an inspirational message that encourages the reader to believe in their self. Winners of the Write-On! Jr. competition are announced during the program.
