Willowbrook Arrests Armed Convicted Felon: Cops

The man faces between six and 30 years in prison, prosecutors said.

WILLOWBROOK, IL – A Romeoville man was arrested earlier this week for possessing a gun as a convicted felon, prosecutors said.

On Tuesday night, a Willowbrook officer stopped a car driven by Steven Buegel, 43, and found a loaded Denali .380 handgun in Buegel's possession.

“The law is very clear, as a convicted felon, Mr. Buegel is forbidden from possessing a gun,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release.
