Woodridge Parent Steals From School's PTO: Police
She treated the group as her "own personal fundraiser," lining her pockets, the county's top prosecutor said.

WOODRIDGE, IL – A former suburban PTO treasurer stole $13,062 from the organization over more than a year, prosecutors said.
Amanda Piasecki, 39, of Woodridge, took the money between May 1, 2024, and Sept. 4, 2025, as the treasurer of the PTO for Goodrich Elementary School in Woodridge, according to a news release from the office of DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin.
On her Facebook page, Piasecki, whose maiden name is Brandenburg, lists herself as a former Elmhurst resident who attended York High School and Elmhurst University. She played for York's softball team.

In the news release, the Goodrich PTO board said Piasecki no longer had access to the group's finances. The organization said it would continue to cooperate with authorities, but had no other comment.
On Tuesday, a grand jury indicted Piasecki on two felony theft counts, prosecutors said.

On Thursday, Piasecki turned herself in at the DuPage County Jail. Under state law, she cannot be kept in jail for her charges.
"If the allegations in this case are proven true, Ms. Piasecki treated the PTO as her own personal fundraiser and, in doing so, lined her own pockets while depriving the Goodrich Elementary School PTO of much-needed funding," Berlin said in the news release.
