Woodridge Rotary Club Hosts Recycling Extravaganza
Residents from Woodridge and nearby communities can come to this event from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 13.

WOODRIDGE, IL - The Woodridge Rotary Club and partner groups will hold the eighth Recycling Extravaganza at Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park, 8301 Janes Ave., in Woodridge. Residents from Woodridge and nearby communities can come to this event from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 13.
According to the rotary club, over the past few years, over 160,000 pounds of electronics and many other items have been kept out of landfills or distributed for reuse by this event.
The rotary club said this year brings a certain change regarding TVs. Each TV brought to the Woodridge event will require a cash or credit card payment of $25 per unit for under 21 inch screens and $35 per unit for 21 inch and over, including projecting TVs.

According to a release, other electronic items will be accepted at no charge as in the past. A complete list is available on the Woodridge Rotary website. As in the past, bicycles, household and domestic items, scrap metal, glasses and hearing aids, aged American flags, musical instruments, lead batteries, propane tanks, and more will be collected. Up to 3 boxes or bags of document shredding will be available.
