• Decatur Police arrest man for unlawful use of a weapon, shots fired investigation ongoing (wcia.com) — Decatur Police responded to a shots-fired call Friday night near Oakwood and King and are still investigating after finding a shell casing and projectile but no injuries or damage. The next evening, officers arrested an alleged armed man near Jasper and Cantrell after a brief foot chase, recovering a gun and booking him on multiple preliminary weapon and obstruction charges. Anyone with information about the suspect vehicle in the shooting is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
