1. Decatur woman accused of making bomb threat toward viaduct (wcia.com) — A bomb threat shut down Decatur's William B. Sands (22nd Street) Viaduct Thursday evening while police, alerted by the FBI, used drones and in-person checks to search for explosives and found none. Officers then arrested a 44-year-old Decatur woman, who now faces terrorist threat charges and a hearing on whether she'll be held without pretrial release.
2. Decatur honors 25th anniversary of 9/11 with ceremony at lake memorial (wandtv.com) — Residents gathered at Decatur's lakeside 9/11 Memorial to mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks with speeches, music, and reflections on how the day changed their lives. Community members shared personal memories, honored those lost, and urged neighbors to cherish loved ones while keeping the memorial open year-round as a place for remembrance.
3. Decatur man charged with damaging Macon County government buildings with rocks (herald-review.com) — A 41-year-old Decatur man is accused of breaking windows at several Macon County government buildings using large rocks, according to local police.
