City Of Decatur: Lane Closure – Meadowlark Bridge

Due to the bridge’s declining condition, the City of Decatur has closed the southbound lane of the Meadowlark Drive Bridge  in the Meadowlark Neighborhood effective immediately.

The bridge is located along Meadowlark Drive in between Whippoorwill Drive and Hummingbird Drive. There will be a weight limit of 15 tons posted for the bridge.  No vehicles that weigh more than 15 tons may cross the bridge.

Northbound and southbound traffic will still be permitted to use the bridge, but only one lane will be open. Traffic travelling either direction must yield to oncoming traffic crossing the bridge before proceeding across. Please use caution when approaching the bridge and follow the direction of the signs and other traffic control posted.

This lane closure is in effect until the bridge is replaced, which is schedule for 2022.
