City Of Decatur: Street Closure – 700 Block N Water Street

Steve’s Trucking will be demolishing a building at 753 North Water Street beginning Tuesday, August 3, 2021.

This work will cause the closure of North Water Street, from Wabash Avenue to Green Street and Green Street from Water Street to the alley, starting at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 and will continue to approximately 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021.

The detour route will be as follows: Northbound Water Street traffic will have to go East on Wabash to Martin Luther King Jr Drive and then North to King Street and then head back west. Motorists should slow down, use extreme caution and are encouraged to seek an alternate route around the work zone.
