82-Year-Old Indecent; Driver High During Injury Crash: Blotter
Deerfield and Riverwoods Arrest Reports: Jan. 27 - Feb. 2

DEERFIELD, IL — The following information comes from the Deerfield and Riverwoods police department as a record of those arrested by police. Criminal charges are often dropped or reduced and all persons named are innocent unless proven guilty in court.
DEERFIELD
A 25-year-old Deerfield man was arrested Jan. 27 charged with driving under the influence of drugs, disobeying a stoplight and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident around 12:17 p.m. on Jan. 27. Police said he ran a red light and crashed into a 45-year-old Highwood man, sending him to the hospital. The Highwood man injured in the crash was booked at the hospital for driving with a revoked license.

A 65-year-old Deerfield man was arrested around 3 p.m. on Jan. 31 and charged with retail theft after he reportedly stole $7 worth of quilter's fusible batting from the Hobby Lobby in the 200 block of South Waukegan Road.

RIVERWOODS
Daniel Levitt, 47, of the 0-100 Burr Oak Trail in Riverwoods, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic battery after police responded to a home in the 2500 block of Augusta Way in Highland Park at 8:17 p.m. on Jan. 26. The warrant was issued after police investigated a report of domestic battery earlier that day in connection with an incident Jan. 14, according to court records. Levitt was released after putting down 10 percent of a $100,000 bond.
Daniel Ledezma, 23, of the 1000 block of Green Valley Street, Bensonville, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, with a suspended license, without insurance and speeding following a traffic stop at 4:48 a.m. on Jan. 27 on Saunders Road south of Lake Cook Road.
Colleen E. Milnes, 33, of the 2900 block of Derrough Avenue, Melrose Park, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, driving while registration suspended for insurance violations and speeding following a traffic stop at 4:19 a.m. on Jan. 28.
John R. Koelle, 82, of the 2000 block of Clendenin Lane, was arrested and charged with public indecency in connection with an alleged exposure incident that occurred at his home after it was reported to police at 11:51 a.m. on Jan. 30.
Mae S. Scharfman, 34, of the 1800 block of Saunders Road, Riverwoods, was arrested on Feb. 1 and charged with two counts of domestic battery following an investigation into an incident that occurred on Jan. 29.
Joshua N. Leland, 40, of the 500 block of Aptikisic Road, Buffalo Grove, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of endangering the life of a child, driving with a revoked license and speeding following a traffic stop at 1:23 a.m. on Feb. 3 on Milwaukee Avenue south of Aptakisic Road.
