RIVERWOODS, IL — Music, healing and community support will come together Saturday at Brushwood Center. Broken Pieces, an award-winning band of outpatient veterans from the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, is set to perform a benefit concert to help fund a trip to a national stage.
The concert is scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m. at Brushwood Center, 21850 Riverwoods Road in Riverwoods. Through music, the group shares stories of healing, camaraderie and creative expression shaped by service and recovery. Tickets can be purchased here.
Broken Pieces recently won first place at the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival, earning the opportunity to perform at the national event in Columbia, South Carolina. Proceeds from the concert will help make that trip possible.
