UNIVERSITY, MS — Two local students have been named to the University of Mississippi’s Spring 2026 Chancellor’s Honor Roll.

Local students recognized include:

• Roman Berson, of Deerfield, who is in the Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management program
• Sofia Fortunato, of Riverwoods, who is in the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program

The Chancellor’s Honor Roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75 to 4.00.

“These students have achieved at the highest academic level, and we are proud to recognize them on the Chancellor’s Honor Roll,” Chancellor Glenn Boyce said. “They are exceptional scholars, and their dedication and achievement is reflected in this designation.”

To be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation
