Aggravated Battery, DUI Among 25 Lake County Sheriff Arrests

The weekly arrest summary also included domestic battery, order-of-protection violations, weapons and retail-theft warrants.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The following information comes from the Lake County Sheriff's Office and court records as a record of police activity. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and may be dropped or reduced. Everyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

AGGRAVATED AND DOMESTIC BATTERY

Gustavo Alberto Santos Abarca, 39, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, was arrested July 22 in unincorporated Mundelein and charged with aggravated battery, domestic battery, criminal damage to property and violating pretrial-release conditions.

He was detained in the Lake County Jail and assigned an Aug. 12 court date.

Meghan N. Jessop, 41, of unincorporated Deerfield, was arrested July 20 and charged with domestic battery.

She was released before trial and assigned an Aug. 12 court date.

Joseph R. Wersching, 56, of unincorporated Antioch, was arrested July 23 and charged with domestic battery.

He was released before trial and assigned an Aug. 27 court date.

Ryan L. Kukla, 27, of Beach Park, was arrested July 23 and charged with domestic battery.

He was released before trial and assigned an Aug. 5 court date.

Matthew L. Suchowski, 37, of Barrington, was arrested July 21 in unincorporated Spring Grove and charged with battery.

He was released before trial and assigned a Sept. 16 court date.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Primitivo Segura Guerrero, 35, of Waukegan, was arrested July 20 near Route 137 and O'Plaine Road in Green Oaks.

He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, aggravated speeding and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released before trial and assigned an Aug. 26 court date.

Harvey J. Jones III, 38, of Chicago, was arrested July 22 near 23rd Street and North Lewis Avenue in Zion.

Jones was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a revoked license and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released before trial and assigned a Sept. 2 court date.

Bacilio Rubio Palacios, 47, of unincorporated Grayslake, was arrested July 23 near Route 41 and Riverside Drive in Gurnee.

He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released before trial and assigned a Sept. 2 court date.

Eddy R. Mendoza, 23, of Lake in the Hills, was arrested July 26 near Lake Cook and Ferndale roads in Deer Park.

He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol. Mendoza was released before trial and assigned a Sept. 2 court date.

ORDER-OF-PROTECTION VIOLATIONS

Christopher P. McAdams, 43, of Chicago, was arrested July 24 on a warrant accusing him of violating an order of protection.

He was detained in the Lake County Jail and assigned an Aug. 19 court date.

Travis S. Garrett, 39, of Lake Villa, was arrested July 24 in unincorporated Lake Villa and charged with violating an order of protection.

He was released before trial and assigned a July 30 court date.

PROPERTY DAMAGE AND HARASSMENT

Norman R. Heydenburg, 61, who was listed as having no permanent address, was arrested July 21 in unincorporated Deerfield and charged with criminal damage to property.

He was released before trial and assigned an Aug. 20 court date.

Alexander M. Klok, 28, of Wadsworth, was arrested July 22 and charged with electronic harassment and disorderly conduct.

He was released before trial and assigned a Sept. 2 court date.

WARRANT ARRESTS

Christopher C. Taylor, 42, of Waukegan, was arrested July 20 on a warrant for violating a court order. The sheriff's report lists Taylor as sentenced.

Peter C. Robinson Jr., 40, of Waukegan, was arrested July 20 in Wadsworth on a Cook County weapons-offense warrant.

Alvin J. Timmons, 54, of Waukegan, was arrested July 21 on a warrant accusing him of unlawful display of a title or license plate. He was released before trial and assigned an Aug. 19 court date.

Marc A. Santiago, 32, of West Chicago, was arrested July 22 on a retail-theft warrant. He was released before trial and assigned an Aug. 5 court date.

Christopher Lara, 19, of Waukegan, was arrested July 23 on a burglary warrant. He was released before trial and assigned a July 28 court date.

Moises Villa, 23, of Elgin, was arrested July 23 on a retail-theft warrant. He remained detained in the Lake County Jail on other charges and was assigned an Aug. 19 court date.

Kevin M. O'Keefe, 51, of Waukegan, was arrested July 25 in unincorporated Zion on a retail-theft warrant. He was released before trial and assigned a July 30 court date.

Casimira Gamboa, 26, of unincorporated McHenry, was arrested July 26 on a McHenry County warrant accusing her of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Donald J. Macknight, 42, of Wadsworth, was arrested July 26 on a warrant accusing him of obstructing identification and driving with a suspended license. He was released before trial and assigned an Aug. 26 court date.

DRIVER'S LICENSE AND INSURANCE OFFENSES

Cenia L. Flores De Menjivar, 44, of Waukegan, was arrested July 20 near Route 41 and Cermak Road in Wadsworth and charged with driving without a valid license.

She was released before trial.

Abel Ruiz-Navarro, 34, of unincorporated Lake Villa, was arrested July 23 and charged with driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle.

He was released before trial.

Kendra L. Hood, 37, of unincorporated Waukegan, was arrested July 24 near Route 176 and St. Mary's Road in Green Oaks.

She was charged with driving with a suspended license and suspended registration and was released before trial.
