DEERFIELD, IL — Approximately 1,450 ComEd customers in Deerfield remain without power as utility crews continue restoration work following severe weather.
Service is back for about 2,685 customers in the village, according to an update from Deerfield officials.
ComEd crews are active throughout the community and are working to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.

The utility is deploying more than 2,300 personnel across northern Illinois, with crews working around the clock in affected areas.
Based on previous storms of similar size, ComEd expects 80 percent of outages to be restored by noon Wednesday. The utility says the vast majority of affected customers should have service restored by 10 p.m. Friday, July 31.
Residents should stay away from downed power lines and immediately report them to ComEd at 1-800-334-7661.
