• IHSA football playoff projections: Finishing out the field proving to be very difficult process (shawlocal.com) — Deerfield football is currently projected on the bubble between IHSA Classes 5A and 6A, a shift that could change its playoff path and opponents. With more teams qualifying this year and East St. Louis moving to 7A, even two-win squads may sneak in, making every remaining game critical for Deerfield and other fringe programs.
