Artists Sought for Rotating Art Program
Artists can apply to loan village work for one year to be displayed at locations throughout town.

Deerfield’s Rotating Public Art Program was so popular its first-time around that it is becoming an annual year-long event, the Deerfield Review reports.
The program is seeking a one-year loan of creations from local artists to place in public buildings around town.
Interested artists have until July to complete the application process. Then, the Fine Arts Commission will use a blind selection process to choose the art.

“It was highly successful,” Commission chairman Jeff Marks said of the program’s launch. “That’s why we’re doing it again. The artists were happy with the program and we’re looking for another group of artists to display their work.”

Currently, 24 works of art are currently at Village Hall, the Patty Turner Center, the Jewett Park Community Center, the Deerfield Public Library, the West Deerfield Township office, the Deerfield public works building and the Deerfield-Bannockburn Riverwoods Chamber of Commerce.
Marks said this year’s selection could be open to including more than 24.
