Back To School: Deerfield 2021-22 School Calendar

Parents in Deerfield can mark the first day of school coming later this summer.

DEERFIELD, IL — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Deerfield, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Deerfield School District 109.

The first day of school for most students in Deerfield is Aug. 18.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Deerfield District 109. As of now, District 109 is offering five days a week of full in-person schooling during the 2021-2022 school year. Students will be provided with remote instruction if they are ineligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and put under a quarantine order.

Following new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health, the district is requiring all individuals inside DPS 109 facilities to wear masks, regardless of their vaccination status.
