An early summer opening is planned for Bedding Experts in downtown Deerfield’s former Blockbuster location, according to a source affiliated with the company.
The store will sell mattresses, box springs, bed frames, headboards, futons, pillows and other bedding accessories, according to the source. It will not sell bed coverings like sheets and blankets.

The new store is currently undergoing remodeling. The work is being done by SE Construction of Deerfield, according to a sign in the window at the location, 711 Waukegan Road.
Though it was earlier reported by Patch the business would be a mattress outlet store it is a complete retail operation, according to the source. The closest Bedding Expert location is in Highland Park. There are approximately 75 stores in the Chicago area including Wisconsin and Indiana.
