Join the Chamber of Commerce for a Ribbon Cutting Celebration at Ground Up Sports Lab in Bannockburn Green.
This will be more than a quick photo moment. Ground Up Sports Lab will showcase live demonstrations at its facility, including batting-cage action and hands-on moments for attendees. Yes — you may even get the chance to throw on a helmet and step into the cage.
Ground Up Sports Lab focuses on skill development, training, and real performance growth — no hype, just hustle. This ribbon cutting is your opportunity to see their space, meet the team, and learn how they are building athletes from the ground up.
The official ribbon cutting will take place promptly at 3:00 PM, followed by demonstrations and photo opportunities.
Whether you stay five minutes or fifteen, we invite you to stop by, show support, and welcome this business to the Bannockburn Green community.

<h5>Race Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 8:00 AM</h5>
Join us for a 5K Run, 1 Mile Walk and Kids Dash on the main runway and taxiways at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling, Illinois. The 5K course is USATF Certified, and chip timed. Hang out after your event for podium awards, music, food, giveaways and kids activities. Plus keep an eye out for princess and superhero guest appearances through the morning!
Strollers and wagons are welcome. No pets are allowed. 
<h6>In case of inclement weather, a cancellation call will be made by 8:30AM on event day. This is a fundraising event with proceeds benefiting local aviation scholarships. As a result, no refunds will be issued, and the event will not be rescheduled.</h6>

Maurice Irwin &ldquo;Win&rdquo; Gould, Jr., of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of Lake Bluff, Illinois, and native of East Aurora, New York, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 13, 2026.
Win was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and lifelong maker. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, and his beloved dog, Molly. He is lovingly remembered by his children Tom, Todd, and Betsy, and by many grandchildren who brought him great joy.
A meticulous craftsman, Win found deep satisfaction in building architectural models and intricate ship models, and he spent countless hours painting and restoring classic automobiles&mdash;especially his cherished MGBs. His work reflected a patient hand, an exacting eye, and a steady generosity in sharing his skills and stories with family and friends.
Win&rsquo;s warmth, quiet humor and dedication to his passions left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will be remembered for his careful workmanship, his love of beauty in small things, and the steady presence he provided to his family.
