30 Area Chefs Donate Signature Dishes to Benefit People with Developmental Disabilities!
Nearly 700 people will make their way to the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort on Monday, May 1st for a tasting event of epic proportions! Local restaurants, wineries, breweries, bakeries and more will be on hand serving their signature dishes and cocktails benefitting the Center for Enriched Living (CEL), a non-profit organization in Riverwoods that provides social, recreational and enrichment, and employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.
Going strong in its 17th year, Chefs’ Night provides attendees with an opportunity to sample some of the North Shore’s favorite restaurants. Returning for their second year are the popular firefighters from the Deerfield-Bannockburn Firehouse who will be making their famous chili verde pork nachos. New participants this year include, Chicago Culinary Kitchen who will be bringing a whole hog; Buca di Beppo, FEW Spirits, Green Basil Thai Restaurant, Nothing Bundt Cakes, New England Seafood Company, Scorched Earth Brewing Co. and Revolution Brewing, who will be serving tastings of their signature drinks in their first Chefs’ Night appearance!

“Chefs’ Night is one of the most enjoyable events we put on each year,” says Harriet Levy, CEL’s executive director. “What better way to connect to the community than through food and conversation? And knowing that the money raised makes a direct impact on the lives of hundreds of local people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is icing on the cake.” The proceeds of this event ensure that CEL’s members are fully included in the community, achieve goals and enjoy a good quality of life.
