A Chance to Fill Your Cup: Practical, Emotional and Spiritual Support for Caregivers

Caring for a loved one in declining health can be emotionally devastating. Get empathetic guidance from experts who have been there.

First Presbyterian Church of Deerfield is hosting an evening of renewal and inspiration for caregivers on Thursday, March 23, at 7:00 p.m. The event will be led by Drs. Barry Jacobs and Julie Mayer, both clinical psychologists who speak nationally and publish resources for family caregivers.

Dr. Barry Jacobs is the author of The Emotional Survival Guide for Caregivers -- and coauthor with Dr. Mayer, of AARP Meditations for Caregivers. Dr. Jacobs is Director of Behavioral Sciences for the Crozer-Keystone Family Medicine Residence Program and a blogger on family caregiving topics for AARP.org and the Huffington Post.

The event is free and open to the public. Following the presentation, there will be a time for questions and light refreshments will be served.
