College Credits: Deerfield Resident Performing At Emerson College

Emerson College Student Participates in Emerson Stage Production

Undergraduate Emerson students participated in Emerson Stage's production of "Baltimore" in conjunction with their 2021-2022 season. The show ran from October 28-31 in the Semel Theater in Boston. "Baltimore," by Kirsten Greenidge and directed by Timothy Douglas, tells the story of Shelby Wilson, a Black resident advisor for a group of first year students at a college in New England. Shelby is focused on rebuilding her resume after losing her job in the athletics department. But when a racist caricature is drawn on the dorm door of one of her residents, she is forced to reevaluate her naive belief that she lives in a post-racial society, and she must help strive for peace on campus. Carly Zamost, of Deerfield, is majoring in Stage and Production Management and is a member of the Class of 2023. Emerson Stage is the producing organization within the Emerson College Department of Performing Arts.
