Congressional, State Candidates Debate In Deerfield

Candidates for the 10th Congressional District, the 29th State Senate District and the 58th State Representative District met Sunday.

The debates were sponsored by local League of Women Voters for the Deerfield area, Glenview-Glencoe, Highland Park-Highwood and the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff, along with the Union League Club of Chicago.

The candidates for state office met first. In the 29th State Senate District, incumbent Julie Morrison (D-Deerfield) faced Barrett Davie (R-Lake Forest), as well as 58th District in the Illinois House, where Bob Morgan (D-Deerfield) and Frederic "Rick" Lesser (R-Lake Bluff) are running for the seat being vacated by Scott Drury (D-Highwood).
