Deerfield Author Launches Website

Award winning Deerfield author Lisa Barr wants to help local mothers with life in the suburbs as she launched her website, GIRLilla Warfare: A Mom’s Guide to Surviving the Suburban Jungle this month, according to a news release.

The website was created to motivate women to deal with what Barr describes as their real enemies allowing them to blog real stories by women to help them deal with the suburban lifestyle, according to the release.

Late last month Barr’s award winning novel, “Fugitive Colors,” debuted on Amazon.com after winning first prize at the Hollywood Film Festival for Best Unpublished Manuscript. The story is set in post World War II Europe and deals with an artist’s revenge, according to the release.
