Deerfield Bank Robbery: Police Release Person Of Interest Photos
Police want to talk with anyone who recognizes a left-handed man who visited the bank several days before the robbery.
DEERFIELD, IL — Police released several photos Friday of a person wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery at the Deerfield Bank and Trust last week.
Deerfield police said a man, described as in his mid to late 20s, white and between 5 feet, 11 inches and 6 feet tall, walked into the bank branch at 660 Deerfield Rd. around 4:52 p.m. on Dec. 29 and began filling out a deposit slip.
"I need your money now!" he wrote, before passing the note to the teller, according to Deerfield police.

The employee turned over a few thousand dollars and the man left the area on foot heading north. Police said there was no vehicle information available.
"We're assuming there was a vehicle, but the tracks ended at a road not too far from the bank," said Deputy Chief Thomas Keane.

Police released photos taken several days prior to the robbery from inside the bank of a man described as a "person of interest we'd like to talk to" regarding the incident.

The pictured man was described as in his mid to late 20s, white, with a medium build and between 5 feet, 11 inches and 6 feet tall. Police said he also writes left-handed.
