Deerfield-based personalized car service dedicated to client comfort

For the last 12 years, Sebastian Dragan-Dima has been operating a unique transportation service that prides itself on getting to know clients on a personal level.

“Nothing replaces one-on-one contact. It’s just that personal touch that really makes a difference,” said Dragan-Dima, owner of Deerfield-based LimoAngel and Murray's Private Car service. “That’s what makes us different. We go beyond getting the person from Point A to Point B. It an experience.”

Dragan-Dima, a native of Romania who started LimoAngel in 2004, said he strives to serve a niche that he discovered while working for a larger limo and car service prior to starting LimoAngel.

“There’s a need for people to have personalized service,” he said. “Although my company has grown quite a lot since the time when I was by myself, I still believe my clients are not just numbers, they’re people.”

By personalized service, Dragan-Dima said he and his drivers monitor flights on which clients might be departing or arriving. If clients arrive late at night, he said, they can even pre-order food so they don’t have to stop on the way to their destination.

“I don’t know of any other service that offers that,” he said.

Dragan-Dima said because his clients, most of whom are corporate, work round-the-clock, his cars are equipped with phone and laptop chargers, water, newspapers, magazines and other features to make the ride as comfortable as possible.

“It’s little things that make your life easier,” he said. “My clientele is very loyal because we provide that personalized service.”

Last year, Dragan-Dima expanded Limo Angel to include affiliates in New York, Boston, Miami and many other major cities. He said business has grown in the last year because these affiliates represent LimoAngel.

“It’s a very powerful tool in our business,” he said. “I started with that locally and now I have affiliates all over the U.S. and also internationally. They (clients) know they get the same kind of service every time and everywhere.”

LimoAngel also offers long-distance rides - up to 250 miles from the pickup spot.

“Those trips are very important for us,” Dragan-Dima said. “Our philosophy is to give more value for the service.”

Dragan-Dima also noted that reservations with his service are never fully confirmed unless the client receives a confirmation directly from the company's software.

Dragan-Dima, who also works as a real estate broker, said he thinks the best way to get ahead is to be motivated. Even the name of the business, he explained, motivates him every day.

“When I opened the company, my mother, at that time, had passed away 25 years earlier from cancer,” Dragan-Dima said. “Her name was Angela and she’s an angel now. I wanted to honor her. It will remind me of her every day, so it’s something that will make me put that much more into it every day.”

Dragan-Dema said family is of great importance to him. He said his daughter is currently studying medicine at Loyola University and he is currently engaged to be married. He also said he is looking forward to raising his nine-year-old stepson.

“It’s very important to have a balance between work and life outside of work,” he said.
