Deerfield Chick-fil-A Project Gets Plan Commission Approval
The commission unanimously recommended that developers receive a special use permit for a Chick-fil-A near Lake Cook and Waukegan roads.

DEERFIELD, IL — Plans for a Chick-fil-A across the street from the Deerbrook Mall came closer to becoming a reality last week, as the Deerfield Plan Commission unanimously recommended it receive a special use permit during its Jan. 11 meeting, the Deerfield Review reported.
Developers intend to knock down the building that formerly housed an Office Depot and replace it with two buildings – the 5,000-square-foot site of Chick-fil-A and a 8,000-square-foot building to the south containing as many as four other businesses, the Review reported. The franchise holder for the Chick-fil-A has not yet been selected, according to the company.
Talks are underway with other tenants but no other leases have been signed and no other tenants have been named, the developers told the paper.
