Deerfield Holds Holiday Drive-Thru
Village Officials, Marines, Police Collect Food and Toys for Children

Children throughout the Midwest were given reason to be thankful this holiday season during Deerfield’s fifth annual Holiday Drive-Thru Charity event held Saturday.
Marines, village officials, police and officers from surrounding areas on the North Shore helped collect toys and food for several children on hand, the Highland Park News reports.
“We are a diverse community,” Deerfield resident Jack Frigo told the News. “We made a connection with Moriah Congregation. This is the first year we have done that. Hanukkah was early last year but we will do it from now on [regardless] of the date.”
