Deerfield Police at Full Strength
After having openings for several years, the Deerfield Police Department now includes 40 sworn officers.

The Deerfield Police Department is now at full strength.
According to the Chicago Tribune, after several years of having open positions, the department now has its maximum number of 40 sworn officers and about 15 support personnel.
The number is more than the Department has ever had working at one time in its history.

“Of the 40, one is on military leave and by law cannot be replaced, and one is in the Illinois Police Academy and will join the force as an officer in training,” the Tribune stated.
