Dold Was 'Principal for a Day' at Shepard Middle School

Illinois 10th District U.S. Congressman Robert Dold, R-Kenilworth was at Shepard Middle School in Deerfield on Thursday as the school’s “Principal for the Day.”

During his visit, Dold toured the Deerfield middle school’s new science labs and STEM programming, participated in a roundtable discussion with administrators, the Parent Advisory Committee and board of education and hosted a town hall with the school’s eighth grade students.

“Shepard Middle School creates a quality learning community and has gone above and beyond with their STEM education programming,” Dold said. “(Shepard) provided me with first-hand experience in the classroom. As their Principal for a day, I enjoyed interacting with local educators, parents and students to discuss issues facing District 109 in Deerfield.”
