The Christ United Methodist Church Deerfield choir will perform Amahl And The Night Visitors this Sunday during its 10:00 a.m. service. Choir Director Tim Plambeck chose Amahl And The Night Visitors for several reasons. It's a delightful story of three wise men stopping at the home of a poor woman and her son. The music is engaging and the story has a touching Christmas message.
It was first broadcast on NBC on Christmas Eve 1951 and it became an instant Christmas classic.
