The Avanti Guitar Trio (composed of Thomas Clippert, Julie Goldberg and Jeffrey Silva) performs an eclectic variety of music including repertoire from the Renaissance through Romantic eras, music from Spain and Latin America, arrangements of folk and pop tunes, and Contemporary compositions that make use of improvisation, loop pedals, and electronic effects. Based in Chicago, AGT’s performances in concert Halls, clubs, libraries, churches, historic homes, colleges/universities and senior centers have received rave reviews. Avanti members are graduates of the country’s most prestigious music conservatories and universities including Yale School of Music, Northwestern University, and the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. Each has performed as soloists throughout the country; and all are currently teaching in Chicago area Universities
