Family Guy's Alex Borstein Lands Supporting Role on CBS Sitcom

The North Shore native best known as the voice of Lois Griffin, will be a bad hairdresser on Life in Pieces.

Alex Borstein, a Highland Park native who grew up in Deerfield, may forever be remembered most for her voice as Lois Griffin on the hit cartoon comedy, Family Guy.

But she has now landed a new, guest-starring role as a bad hairdresser on CBS’ new comedy Life in Pieces, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Life in Pieces - a sitcom following the various members of the Short family and the different life events they’re facing - will premier September 21 at 7:30 p.m. central time. Borstein will play the role of Lynette, an overly chatty hairdresser who both the Short family grandmother Joan (Dianne Weist) and Joan’s daughter Heather (Betsy Brandt) want to fire.
